Although...  Yesterday, I took my young daughters to ride the metro to Washington D.C. As we were standing by the tracks waiting for the train to come, I felt something hit my shoes, and I turned to see a blind man’s cane, as he was sweeping it from side to side. He said, “Excuse me,” and...  It was a very crowded day at the park. My 2-year-old son was playing happily from one end of the park to the other. As he was climbing a small staircase, he happened to slip and bump his knee. I started to walk towards him to see if he was alright. He was not crying... I live in a small university town and we have established a very nice tradition here, Alhamdullilah. When our young sisters decide to start covering, we have an all girls’ celebration. Each girl/mom brings a scarf of their own to share with the new hijabee. We have sweets and socializing followed by an interactive program.... |
